Hebrews 9:27-28 ESV
And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
Are you eagerly waiting for the return of Jesus Christ? Or do you believe that you have some unfinished business here?
Truth is, all on this planet will have unfinished business when He comes again. We will all be living our lives as any other day when He comes. We can not prepare for His coming as some might think. For all of the lose ends and unfinished business will be as nothing in that moment. There will be no selling of this or buying of that. No packing or planning. He will come at once and in unexpected fashion. But I tell you we can be ready. We can prepare. We must if we desire to be with Him ever more.
I warn you. Do not let yourself be caught off guard. Do not be found lying, cheating, stealing, or in an adulterous act. Do not be found living selfishly. But instead be selfless, grateful, generous, and obedient to all that is in the Word. Love the Word and obey it. Live sacrificially as Jesus did. Do all in submission to the Holy Spirit that has been given to you. Die to yourself and live in Jesus. Then you will be among those that eagerly await His coming. Oh what a glorious day that will be for those who are waiting eagerly!
