#beforethethroneofgrace Life Journal day 345 / Philemon 1, Hebrews 1-4

Hebrews 4:14-16 ESV

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Yes and amen! We have a high priest that is both from heaven, and has come to earth.  Though He was immortal, He put on mortality and was tempted in every way.  But He remained perfect.  Through Him we have the forgiveness of our sins.  We are made to be perfect by Him who was tempted and yet remained perfect.  We can approach the throne of grace with confidence in Christ Jesus.  We who are mortal have been made to be immortal because He who is immortal chose to put on death that was our death.  Now put on the life that is in Christ Jesus, stand confidently before the throne of grace and live forever in heaven with the immortal Jesus Christ.
